A fresh and contemporary vision of Vlisco showcases new possibilities of layering, combining and communicating the unique Dutch wax fabric. Techniques as laser cutting and embroidery extend the characteristics of the original textiles and inspire the costumer by new ways of application. Here I used ‘Embroidery‘ as a method to add material and ‘laser cutting‘as a method to take material out. The project was a collaboration between the Design Academy Eindhoven and Vlisco. All samples are developed at the TextielLab Tillburg.
